Synopsis:
In 2006, Fiann and Anna, after graduating, journeyed to Iceland with a clear goal in mind - an ambitious and unique photo project. They spent two years together completing this project, which is now on view on the city streets in the heart of Reykjavik.
These two photographers travelled around Iceland visiting kindergartens in even the smallest of villages, taking pictures of the local children aged 3 to 6. It was like a dream for Fiann and Anna as they encountered the beauty and the dangers lying within this small and wondrous island.
On their journey, they were seeking any form of dialogue. Firstly between themselves, but also with the children and with the island. Battling with the elements of nature they met wonderful characters and rediscovered the world of their childhood. But living in a dream turned out to be a tougher test than expected and toughest of all for their bond of friendship. The journey awakened their inner child.
And like children playing together in a playground, they crashed into each other and got hurt. DIALOG photo project is now on view at the beginning of Laugavegur street, traditional meeting place in the centre of Reykjavik.
